News about our walks
If anyone in the Crawley & N.Sussex Ramblers takes any pictures during a walk and would like to have them shown on our web site, please telephone me and let me know, e-mail the images to me together with a brief synopsis of the walk, and I will put them on this page.
Look forward to hearing from you!!!
Saturday 1st November, a walk from Loxwood to the Wey & Arun Canal via Great Scrubbs, Tisman's Common, Bucks Green where 15 of us set off, some of who had lunch at the
"Fox Inn". After lunch we went on to Gibbons Mill, the Wey & Arun Canal and then back to Loxwood. The first half of the walk was dry but after lunch, the heavens opened and it came down in buckets. Nonetheless, everyone had a good time and thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Thanks to our Leader, John.
No pictures were taken during the early part of the walk, the light was bad and I forgot to take any!!
Waiting to be served...
Yes, it was pouring down but we are a happy laid back group and a little water does no harm . We enjoy each others company and would be very glad if you came and joined us so we could enjoy yours too!!
The end of the walk, the Canal Bridge at Loxwood, it was wet too!!
If there is anyone out there looking at this web site and who lives in the Crawley area and would like to come and join us, please select any walk from our "Programme of Walks" page and just turn up, you will be made more than welcome, honest!
After an enjoyable lunch, it's back on the trail in the rain!
