Crawley and North Sussex

The Crawley (formally North Sussex Group) of the Ramblers' Association has about 220 members

We have a programme of walks led by volunteer leaders. See Walking with our group for further information.

Saturday or Sunday

Walks are either for these days and are usually between 5 and 11 miles,

We usually meet at Crawley Railway Station  and then drive out to Surrey or Sussex (Both East & West) for the walks

Sometimes a Bus walk is organised which is usually a linear walk

During the Summer we sometimes have Wednesday walks either evening or All Day

Looking after the Footpath network and maintaining access rights.

  • We survey footpaths, report on obstructions, and survey the Sussex Border Path

  • Some members of our group have taken up Footpath Secretary roles for some Parishes

Many people join to support the work of the RA rather than to walk with the group.
