General Information for people walking with our group

  • Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control, during a group walk. The leader may ask you to put the dog on a lead 0r refuse to allow the Dog on the walk.
    It would be advisable to phone the leader if you are planning to bring a dog on the walk..

  • Members of the public are welcome to join us for a few walks before joining the Ramblers' Association. Any queries about the walks, please address to the leader, or the Programme Secretary

  • Neither the group nor the walk leader can accept responsibility for any loss or injury by persons taking part in our walks.

  • Walk details are printed on a programme, which is also available on the WEB site.

  • Either a Pub or Packed lunch are required for all walks, unless otherwise noted in the walks programme. If a pub is not available it will be noted on the programme

  • Passengers accepting lifts are asked to share petrol costs, and should ensure they have a change of footwear.

  • In the event of a forecast of extreme weather conditions, or a fuel crisis situation or similar, the leader must be contacted prior to the walk.

  • For all walks Members MUST contact the leader if going start to the start. 

  • Please notify the Footpath Secretary, of the area concerned of any obstructions. You can report the problem via the web.
